Yesterday was a….
Yesterday was a gorgeous day.
the perfect day to take a vacation from life.
even if it was just a few hours…pure bliss.
one advantage living 30 minutes from the Jersey Shore.
Yesterday was a beach day.
FUN with Tunie B.
Sand. Toys. Sitting in the warm healing ocean breeze.
worries…problems….divorce…not today.
it’s just too beautiful a day.
I almost didn’t do this … was waiting for friends to come along…
so happy I decided to go myself…with Tunie B.
just what I needed.
Yesterday was a good day.
perfect in every way…
going through tough things in life is not a new thing for me.
but this D-i-v-o-r-c-e has kicked my butt!
slowly this new reality is sinking in
and I am coming too terms with it…
no husband to come home to.
another shabbos kiddush with no daddy at the table.
its hard.
its no fun.
I was never needy for another person…
my personal profile alway read… self- sufficient Sarah.
but when you had something that you thought was good…even for just a little while
its something you will miss…
but yesterday was a GREAT day.
and even with that small whole in our lives…
Tunie B. and me….we were living up life!
here is too many more yesterdays….and hopes for awesome tomorrows
just like these…
for all of us!

WEAR….crocs!
When I was in Israel this past Passover I was in Mamilla Mall and bought the most amazing pair of Crocs for myself…look at these babies – woohoo I LOVE a great shoe!
Yes they are CROCS! – I love them..so comfortable AND I think THE perfect Summer Shoe…especially when you do a spontaneous beach day!

EAT…AVOCADO SUMMER TOMATO SALAD with Lemon Olive OIl Dressing
And because a day in the food life of Tunie B & me ALWAYS consists of some Avocado…her absolute fav… Here is one of my Avocado salad d’jours that I make at least once a week.
Ingredients:
2 ripe Avocados, sliced
1 large heirloom tomato, sliced
1 large yellow tomato, sliced
1/4 cup good quality extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1 tbsp. fresh mint or fresh basil
kosher salt (about 1 large tsp.)
Fresh ground black pepper (1 large pinch)
1 packet splenda ( I like a little sweet – can be optional)
Directions:
Plate your vegetables how you like.
Mix all the dressing ingredients together with a fork or whisk well – and pour at will.
Create….Peony Flower Vases
I have always been in the habit of buying myself flowers on Friday (the ex just never did)
there is nothing I will spend my hard earned money on more… than vases full of fresh flowers… they just make me feel good.
And so since Peonies..my all time fav are in season AND in my local shoprite, you can get 3 bunches for $12… My house is full of them.
A few simple stems in any type of vase is all you need to make your house feel & look SPECIAL…make sure you use the food they come with and warm water in the vase. (thats how they open to these magnificent blooms)
